An RCD That Keeps Tripping, From the Call to the Paid Invoice

  1. Take the Call

    The site manager rings: an RCD on a level 2 distribution board keeps tripping. The office raises a job for the customer and site, with a short title and the Electrical Fault Finding job type the pack adds, and Deployr gives it the next job number.

  2. Book the Electrician

    Drag the job onto an electrician's line on the Schedule, or open the dispatch dialog to see who's free and best matched. Deployr refuses a booking that would put them on two sites at once, and the electrician gets a notification that opens the job on their phone.

  3. Test on Site

    The electrician works through the job's checklist, takes photos and records any defect they can't fix. The trip tests go on that board's entry in the Switchboard / RCD Register, from the site's Compliance tab: a row for each circuit with RCD type, trip time, trip current, insulation and earth readings, and pass or fail.

  4. Flag, Quote and Certify

    A failed RCD or a non-compliant board is flagged on the register, and one button turns it into a draft rectification quote for the customer. The certificate for the work, such as a CCEW or a Certificate of Testing, is recorded against the job with the regulator's reference.

  5. Invoice and Get Paid

    The customer signs on the phone. Back in the office, Create Invoice builds the draft from the job's time, parts and billable expenses, due on the customer's terms. Once it's sent, the customer can pay by card through Stripe from the customer portal, or by bank transfer.

Test & Tag With Its Due Dates in View

The Test & Tag Register keeps each appliance with its site, location, environment, test interval, tag colour, result and next test due. It counts what's overdue and what falls due in the next 30 days, and exports as a branded PDF, the whole register or one record.

Periodic Testing on a Schedule

Test and tag rounds, emergency lighting tests and RCD testing can run as maintenance agreements on the Commercial plan. Each visit raises its own job on the morning it falls due, and the agreement bills per visit, by the period or up front.

Licences That Say When They Lapse

Each electrician's licences are kept on their record with number, class and expiry, and a photo of the card kept private. A licence expiring within 60 days is flagged, and the Safety page counts whose licences are in date.

Checklists for the Job in Hand

Switching the pack on adds starter checklists for an electrical safety inspection, a switchboard inspection and an emergency lighting test, all yours to edit. Technicians tick them off on their phones, with or without signal.

Does Deployr have a test and tag register?
Yes. With the Electrical pack on, the Test & Tag Register records each appliance's site, environment, test interval, tag colour, result and next test due, and counts what's overdue and due in the next 30 days. A failed appliance becomes a draft rectification quote in one step.
Can we record RCD trip test results for each circuit?
Yes. Each board on the Switchboard / RCD Register takes a row per circuit with RCD type and rating, trip time, trip current, insulation resistance, earth continuity and a result. The board itself is Compliant, Non-Compliant or Under Rectification, with the detail of any non-compliance.
Does Deployr lodge certificates of compliance with the regulator?
No. It keeps the record: each certificate against the job it was issued for, with its type (such as a CCEW, a COES or a Certificate of Testing), number, licence number, regulator, regulator reference and lodged date. You lodge it the way you do now.
Can Deployr track our electricians' licences and when they expire?
Yes. The Electrical pack adds licence types including the electrical worker licence and its classes, ACMA cabler registration, Solar PV accreditation, EV charging installation and high voltage switching. Each is kept with its number, class, expiry and a photo of the card, and a licence expiring within 60 days is flagged.
We do electrical and HVAC work. Can one account cover both?
Yes. Commercial and Projects include every trade pack; Service includes one. With more than one pack on, jobs, quotes and assets carry their trade, and the Jobs page filters by it.
How much does Deployr cost for an electrical contractor?
Service is $79 per office user and $39 per field user a month, AUD ex GST, with one trade pack and at least two office users, so the smallest account is $158 a month.
