TMV Servicing Records for Plumbing Contractors

The TMV Service Register keeps every thermostatic mixing valve you service on the site it's installed at: make and model, location, set temperature, last outlet temperature, last service, next service due and result.

It counts what's overdue and what falls due in the next 30 days, turns a failed valve into a draft rectification quote in one step, and prints on your own letterhead. It comes with the Plumbing & Gas pack.

Comes with the Plumbing & Gas pack, on every plan.

What the Register Records

One entry per valve. Leave the valve number blank and Deployr numbers the entry for you.

A TMV Service, From Due Date to Paid Invoice

  1. See What's Due

Each valve shows its next service due, marked overdue or due within 30 days, with the counts at the top of the register. A site's Compliance tab narrows it to that site's valves.

  2. Raise the Visit

On the Commercial plan, a maintenance agreement can cover a customer's thermostatic mixing valves by kind, so a valve added later is covered too, and raise the service as its own job on the morning it falls due. Without one, raise the job by hand with the TMV Service job type.

  3. Service and Record

With signal, the plumber updates the valve's entry from the site's Compliance tab: the service date, the outlet temperature, the result, who serviced it, and the next service due.

  4. Quote a Failure

A failed valve shows Fail beside its due date. Quote raises a draft rectification quote for the site's customer, with the valve's number and location in its scope, and the quote's number stays on the entry.

  5. Report and Bill

Export PDF prints the site's valves on your letterhead, or one valve as a service sheet. Bill the service under the agreement, per visit once its job is done, or invoice the job from its page.

What the Office Sees

Temperatures Beside Every Valve

The register lists each valve's make, set temperature, last service and last outlet temperature side by side with its next service due, and counts what's overdue, due in the next 30 days and failed at its last service.

Pass Rates in Reports

In Reports, Trade KPIs gives the TMV pass rate for any date range, beside the backflow measures.

Endorsements on Every Plumber

The Plumbing & Gas pack adds TMV Endorsement to every technician's licences, with its number, expiry and a photo of the card. One expiring within 60 days is flagged.

A Hot Water Service Checklist

Switching the pack on adds a starter checklist for a hot water system service, with tempering valve outlet and storage temperatures to record. It's yours to edit, and ticked off on the phone with or without signal.

Before You Start

Worth Knowing

  • You set each entry's next due date. The register keeps the interval beside it but doesn't work the date out from it.
  • An entry holds the latest test: its date, result and who did it. Earlier results aren't kept as a history on the entry.
  • A due date doesn't raise a job by itself. Maintenance agreements raise jobs, on their own visit dates.
  • The registers need a signal. The field app's offline pack carries jobs, not registers.
  • Deployr's import doesn't bring register entries across. Equipment can come in as assets, and each entry starts in Deployr.
  • ServiceIncluded

TMV Servicing Questions

Questions

What does the TMV register record for each valve?
Its number, make, model, serial number and install date, the site and location it's at, its set temperature, and its latest service: the date, the outlet temperature, the result and who serviced it, with the next service due.
Can we see which TMVs are due for service?
Yes. Every valve shows its next service due, marked overdue or due within 30 days, and the register counts both. Open it from a site's Compliance tab to see one site's valves.
Can TMV services be raised as jobs automatically?
Yes, on Commercial and Projects, through a maintenance agreement that covers the valves: each visit raises its job on the morning it falls due, with the visit's tasks as the job's checklist. The register's own due dates don't raise jobs. Read how
What happens when a valve fails its service?
Record the result as Fail, and set its status to Failed if it's out of service. Quote beside it raises a draft rectification quote for the site's customer, and the quote's number stays on the entry.
Can we give the customer a TMV service report?
Yes. Export PDF on a site's Compliance tab prints that site's valves on your letterhead, with each one's temperatures, result and next service due, ready to print or save as a PDF. Each valve can print on its own as a service sheet.
Which plan includes the TMV Service Register?
Every plan, with the Plumbing & Gas pack switched on. Service, at $79 per office user and $39 per field user a month (AUD ex GST), includes one trade pack; Commercial and Projects include all three. The 14-day trial needs no card. Read how
