How to Use It
List Your Appliances
Give each appliance a row: its tag number, what it is, its type and serial number, and the site and location it's used at.
Set Each Interval
Enter the environment each appliance works in and the test interval, in months, you test it to. The template doesn't set either for you.
Record Each Test
After a test, update the appliance's row: the test date, the result and tag colour, who tested it and their licence or competency, and the next test due. Result and Status are picked from a list.
See What's Due
Sort or filter Next Test Due to see what falls due next. The header row stays in view as you scroll, and every column has a filter.
Print a Round Sheet
The PDF is a blank round sheet for one site, with room to write each result on the day. Enter the results in the register when you're back.
Before You Start
Worth Knowing
- It keeps records. Whether your testing meets the Standard and your regulator's rules is for you to check.
- It doesn't tell you how often to test. The interval and the next test due are whatever you enter.
- Updating a row replaces the earlier result. To keep each round's results, save a copy of the file before the next round.

Due Dates Counted for You
The top of the register counts appliances registered, overdue, due in the next 30 days and failed at their last test: across the business on Assets, or for one site on its Compliance tab.
Quote the Failures
Quote raises a draft rectification quote for the site's customer, with the tag number and location in its scope, and the quote's number stays on the entry.
A PDF of the Register or One Tag
Export PDF prints the register as a table on your letterhead, with each appliance's site, result and next test due, and how many are overdue or failed.
Competency on Every Technician
The Electrical pack adds Test & Tag Competency to every technician's licences, kept with its number, expiry and a photo of the card. One expiring within 60 days is flagged.
